Bradford & Bingley 3rd XV 14 – 13 Skipton 2nd XV

Playing a club with a considerably higher league position, Skipton again fielded a young, adventurous side.  The early jousts went in Skipton's favour resulting in a cheekily taken poacher's try for Jonny Kulik which he unfortunately failed to convert.

Bradford then replied in kind with an unconverted try of their own followed by a penalty.  Skipton then struck back with a sweetly struck penalty from James Wade only for Bees to reply with a further two penalties of their own.  Skipton replied with a disallowed try from captain Brian Brocksom, none of those watching could work out why!

A try quickly followed for Ash Greaves playing his first game of the season.  As a spectacle the game was somewhat dour with the young Skipton side getting involved in a wrestling contest with a bigger heavier side and the forwards in particular squandering the experienced back line available to them who had very limited chances to show their abilities.
